At Tiki Recreation Center in Ocean Isle Beach, we’re making the most of the season with extended daylight, group-friendly experiences, and a full month of local fun at The Axe Shack.

We know how easy it is to fall into the routine of dinner, couch, and early bedtimes. That’s why we’re here with a midweek option that’s casual, inviting, and something people of all skill levels can enjoy. Axe throwing is fun, low-pressure, and a great way to unwind after a busy day. It’s not just about the throw—it’s about the laughs, the energy, and the chance to try something new.

The Axe Shack is Open Every Wednesday

Every Wednesday from 5 to 9 PM, the Axe Shack is open and ready for your crew. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been here before, it’s always a good night to stop in. Walk-ins are welcome, and we always have staff on hand to guide new throwers through safety and basics. We also rotate weekly deals throughout the month, giving locals a little something extra each visit. Drink specials, discounted merch, and giveaways keep things interesting.

Group Reservations Available Any Day of the Week

Have a group of 10 or more? You don’t have to wait for Wednesday night. We’re happy to open outside normal hours for birthday parties, team outings, bachelor and bachelorette groups, family events, or any kind of celebration that could use some good energy and something out of the ordinary.

Private group reservations come with a dedicated space and extra support to make sure everyone has a great time. All you need to do is call or email to set it up—we’ll handle the rest.

Spring Break Plans Made Easy

We hear it every year. Spring break rolls around, and families and visitors start looking for something local that’s fun and easy. If you’re in Ocean Isle Beach or anywhere in Brunswick County, the Axe Shack is a great way to get out of the house and spend time together. It’s indoors, it’s affordable, and it works for small families or bigger friend groups alike. No big planning required—just show up ready to play.

March Events and Themes

Throughout March, we’ll be highlighting seasonal fun through weekly specials, themed nights, and a few surprises along the way. Here’s what to look for:

• Daylight Savings (March 10): More daylight means more time to throw. We’ll celebrate with extended music, warm vibes, and open lanes.

• Pi Day (March 14): A special slice of fun. Look for pie-themed decor and a few nods to the most famous number in math.

• St. Patrick’s Day Week: Bring your lucky crew and throw with us. Green shirts are encouraged, and we may just have something special in store for the best-dressed team.

• First Day of Spring (March 19): The start of a new season calls for new memories. This is the perfect time to gather your people and try something different.

• Awkward Moments Day (March 18): We’ll be having fun with this one on social, because who hasn’t had a few awkward throws? Come laugh it off with us.
